Here I am began working on the first draft of my journal article. Initially, I thought I could simply copy and paste content from my final dissertation, but I soon realised that this approach wouldn't be sufficient. The feedback session with Dr. Hayati and the input from my course mates opened my eyes to new possibilities and had taught me to make lots of necessary changes on my journal article. Listening to the feedback and observing the work of others during the feedback session gave me a fresh perspective and sparked creativity. I realised that I needed to go beyond just replicating my dissertation and find ways to enhance and improve the content for the journal article. It became clear that I had an opportunity to make the article more relevant to the specific audience of the journal.

In the second draft of my journal article, I made some important changes to improve it. I worked on the title of the article by considering two different options and seeking feedback from Dr. Hayati. This helped me choose a title that captures the main focus of the article and is more engaging for readers. As mentioned by Dr Hayati, the journal article is not just copy and paste content from the final dissertation. Instead, we have to took the time to enhance and expand upon the existing information. I conducted further research and incorporated new insights to make the article more comprehensive and up-to-date.

This time as in the final draft, I have made a deliberate choice to narrow down in focus to a specific research question and methodology, where I made decision was based on insights gathered through email interviews, specifically from the perspectives of designers. With this approach, it could able to aim to gain a deeper understanding of the topic at hand. The title will be emphasise the importance of user privacy prominently.
Reflection
As I take a moment to reflect on my journey in design research dissertation, I must confess that research has never been my preferred activity, particularly when it involves dealing with extensive text and words. Nonetheless, reaching the end of Week 14 brings a sense of relief, and I remain hopeful that my diligent efforts will yield positive results. Throughout this research and article process, I encountered various challenges and experienced LOTS OF moments of self-doubt. There were instances when I questioned my ability to produce quality work for the article. While I thought I had a decent grasp on research due to my previous exposure to design research methodology in the previous semester, I quickly realised that dissertations and journal articles present a whole new level of difficulty. Researching for article publication required careful attention to detail, analyzing information critically, and investigating thoroughly. It was a journey that demanded time and effort, but I knew that it would be worth it in the end.
They require extensive time for observation and learning. Being relatively new to this field, especially with the added pressure of juggling five different modules, finding time to sit down and truly grasp the intricacies of research proved to be incredibly challenging. Consequently, I find myself unsure of how well I am performing in this domain. However, reaching this point brings a sense of relief, as the process has finally come to an end.
